A course for Man Met Staff to learn more about Rise and how they can use it with their students.
Rise at Manchester Met is an institutional extended curriculum framework, which enables any student – from Foundation Year, to Degree Apprentice, to PhD student – to gain recognition for learning beyond their course. It allows students to earn points for this engagement, and to cash those points in for transcript recognition and, in eligible courses, credit that counts towards classifications.
Rise hosts a range of central activities and opportunities, available to all students. It also provides tools for departments, directorates and individuals to add Rise points, and the associated benefits, to any experience offered to students beyond their course.
This self-study pack provides staff with the key information they need to use Rise to engage students. Alongside tutorials around our core systems, it also enables staff to unlock the rights to access useful Rise tools on this site.
To begin, click the pink enrolment button you should see at the top of this course.
NOTE: This course is under constant development! New functionality and features will be added throughout the year. We will notify enrolled members of updates as they are added.
