This credential recognises the effort the holder has invested in developing a wide range of digital fluencies. These might range from content creation to analysis and coding – and understanding of the ethics and social implications of technologies. In developing these fluencies, students will have engaged with a range of creative and technical platforms. Activities that contribute towards gaining these competencies involve digital software certifications; gaining knowledge on the application of digital technology to learning; gaining an appreciation of the benefits of challenges of emerging artificial intelligence technology; the use of technology in content creation; and applying skills in digital technology to societal challenges. This Gold badge indicates that the holder has invested at least 100 hours of effort in its thematic area, including work in real world settings.
