Wellbeing for Kids Incubator
This is the first of a series of education incubator spaces. It provides an opportunity for students from any discipline, with an interest in young people and wellbeing, to develop practical understanding and experience.
In the activity, you will be mentored by Lorna Colter an expert practitioner with significant experience working with schools and families to support wellbeing and mental health. You will work with Lorna to understand and develop a workshop, which will then be taken into a school or other setting for piloting.
Through this experience, you will develop deeper understandings of wellbeing and mental health – together with practical experience.
The activity will consist of a mix of self-study, on-campus and virtual workshops – and an outreach fortnight in which a schools experience will be arranged for you. It carries 80 Rise Points, with a further 80 available for completion of the two preparatory self study packs here and here
