County Ambassador

28th July to 31st July
As a County Ambassador for Tools with a Mission, you will play a vital role in supporting their mission by raising awareness of their work and expanding their reach in your designated area.
This activity is brought to you by The Union in partnership with Manchester Community Central

Tools with a Mission collects usable donated tools and sends them to Africa for livelihood creation.
As a County Ambassador, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission by raising awareness of our work and expanding our reach in your designated area. You will have the opportunity to work closely with local volunteers, identify new opportunities for forming local groups, and help recruit collection points for donated tools. You will assist our Volunteering Coordinator by proactively looking for opportunities to promote the mission and expand awareness of our work. This can be through speaking engagements, which can be in Church groups, Rotary groups, WI, U3A, retirement and community groups or local shows and events.
We would also like you to support our other remote working volunteers, as it can be lonely working as a Tool Ambassador, Community Ambassador, or Champion with little personal contact with TWAM. This role can offer a vital and comforting link for everyone involved. This is a great role for someone with drive, initiative, and passion who wants to use those qualities to transform lives.

You will be working on the following in conjunction with the Volunteering Coordinator:

Supporting local TWAM volunteers
Recruiting new volunteers
Promoting the work of TWAM locally by proactively seeking opportunities to promote the mission and expand awareness of TWAM’s work
Helping organise and run local events
Identifying potential collection points or opportunities to establish local groups

You need:

Ability to show initiative and a passion for livelihood creation
Confidence with public speaking (NB: many of the speaking engagements are in churches)
Diligence and attention to detail
