Writing Critically your Reflection
These workshops will be an opportunity to inspire your thinking during Unit X, and for those who attend in person, you can claim RISE points as additional credits! All talks will be recorded and available afterward on our Unit X webpage.
In the second workshop, we will explore how to present to the reader which ideas and work you have borrowed from others, used to enrich your own practice and got inspired by. You will learn how to highlight connections between your project, other practitioners and academic experts in your field and locate your work in your field.
The workshops will be delivered by myself (Aurélie) and Chad McDonald, from the Academic and Study Skills Team. In the meantime, have a listen to the podcast ‘A Critical Thought’. With a colleague, Louise Livesey, we have a short, but hopefully insightful, conversation on reflection at university and we hope the thoughts and tips we share in this episode will be useful to you too.
We also have a wealth of resources (including on screencasts on reflection) on our Moodle page.
