The Facilitation Workshop

14th August 10:00 to 13:10
This is the follow-up in-person training for those who have completed 'The Facilitation Workbook' self study pack, and are interested in taking their learning further. Applications close on 13 August.

In these sessions, you will be learning the art of creating a learning experience for your target participants and audience, by focusing on the techniques of creating a dynamic and engaging workshop, and practicing your delivery whilst getting feedback from your peers and a specialist.

This will also include insightful group activities that will develop your training skills further. You will build your confidence in running your own training or workshops and develop a formula that works for you to ensure your training is of impact to your target participant group.

Key things that will be covered are:

  • Content – How to pick the right content for your participants/groups
  • Content and delivery – How to create and deliver content that engages
  • Delivery – Tips and techniques in delivering a first-class presentation
  • Participant and audience – How to read your group (Before, during and after your sessions)
  • Group activities 
  • Practical presentation exercise 

This training is specifically to support underrepresented freelancers who have completed The Facilitation Workbook self study pack. Therefore, to be eligible to attend you must:

  • Be from a Black, Asian or other Minority Ethnic group

OR

  • Have a long-term illness or disability

In addition to one of the above criteria, you must:

This training takes place over two sessions:

  • Part one: Thursday 31st August, 1pm – 4pm
  • Part two: Monday 4th September, 10am – 1pm.

Please ensure you are available to attend BOTH sessions.
