6th March 09:00 to 12:00
USE THE DROP DOWN MENU BELOW TO SELECT ONE DATE AND TIME ONLY (AM OR PM, NOT BOTH) - FREE student wellbeing training session and certificate accredited by St John Ambulance, our leading mental health partner, exclusively for Faculty of Science and Engineering foundation and 1st year students.
Welcome to Faculty of Science and Engineering Enrichment! Bespoke activities that enrich your student experience and support your career readiness. Opportunities that make you stand out from the crowd.

This training session enhances your understanding of what mental health and wellbeing is, common conditions, stigmas and protective factors, as well as the power of critical reflection, coping strategies and transitions through student life and beyond…

The 3-hour certification course (including comfort breaks) demonstrates how to communicate empathetically and supportively with student specific case studies and practical activities, as well as building confidence, resilience and creating a positive, inclusive and diverse culture.

There is no assessment but full attendance is required to be successfully awarded your student wellbeing certificate accredited by St John Ambulance.

MMU is working with St John Ambulance to deliver this training. If you would like to attend, we will retain a record of your attendance and training outcome reported to us by St John Ambulance and we will also be required to share your full name and student email address with St John Ambulance so that you can be provided with a certificate. We rely on the legitimate interest lawful basis to use your information in this way. A record of your attendance will be retained by the University for the academic year. If you have any queries about the training, please contact j.harding@mmu.ac.uk in the first instance. For information about your data subject rights (such as the right to object), and how to contact our data protection officer, please see our data subject rights page.
