Self Publishing Summer School

14th August to 18th August
Join us in the bookbinding workshop for an experimental self publishing summer school!

Join Manchester School of Art alumni, bookbinding technicians and Special Collections Museum staff for this exciting summer school programme looking at self publishing.

Ran over the course of five days, the short course will provide an introduction to methods of self publishing, with talks and workshops from practitioners making zines, magazines and artist books. Participants will produce a self published collaborative edition, which will launch with an exhibition at MMU’s Special Collections museum.

You will be introduced to the Bookbinding workshop and learn techniques available to you when using this creative space in the future.

Please note this is a full week programme, take a look at the schedule to ensure you can commit to the sessions and full opportunity.

In your Expression of Interest could you tell us a little about your interest in self publishing or zine making? We would love to know about why you are applying to the summer school.
