Prince's Trust | Become an Education Mentor |

30th May 10:00 to 18:00
Join the Prince's Trust on campus, where they are hosting an assessment centre day for Education Mentor positions. A fantastic opportunity if you are interested in a career in teaching, education, or supporting children and young people.
This activity is brought to you in partnership with the Careers Service and Rise

Come along to this event which will lead onto the chance to join the Mosaic programme. The opportunity as Education Mentor will commence from the autumn term.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Prince’s Trust Education Mentor scheme – Mosaic.

Mosaic is an 8-week mentoring programme aimed to facilitate the personal development of young people in KS3 & 4. This includes raising their aspirations and confidence as well as broadening their perspective of the ‘world of work’ and their place in it. Groups of up to 30 students work with mentors who deliver activities tailored to the students’ needs.

The responsibilities of the mentors include, planning, organising, and leading their own workshop as well as supporting the other sessions over the course of the programme.

To be eligible to participate, you must:

• Have a level of experience/ proven transferrable skills with delivering engaging presentations.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to motivate, be positive and optimistic to help inspire the development of young people.

You will be expected to attend a 1 hour session per week for the full 8 week programme.

The morning session teaches you about the programme and includes information about the skills you’ll gain from being a volunteer and mentor.

There will be a free lunch and you can chose to stay on and interview on the day for the programme. One of our career advisors will be available on the day to provide top tips for it as well.
