Moving from undergraduate to postgraduate study

25th January 11:00 to 12:30
A workshop to explore the differences between undergraduate and postgraduate level study. You will hear from and ask questions to current postgraduate students about their experiences of studying at masters level. You will gain an insight into a day in the life of a postgraduate student.
This activity is offered as part of Future Me Week - five days of exciting opportunities to develop your skills, deepen understanding, gain experience and take steps towards an exciting Future You.

Are you thinking about carrying on to postgraduate study or research? How does a masters compare to undergraduate level? What do you need to be able to study a masters? Hear from current postgraduate and research students about their experiences; why they decided to do a masters; how they got there; and what stepping up to postgraduate level has been like for them. There’ll be opportunities to ask your questions and uncover some of the myths around postgraduate study and doctoral research.

Future me week offers a week of inspirational sessions and is the perfect place to work towards your Future me plan goals. Hear from motivational speakers, increase your confidence and boost your skills and experience. Develop your graduate attributes without leaving the Manchester Met campus.

This session is open to undergraduate study or those thinking of moving on to postgraduate study.
