Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Early Years
This course is designed with the aim of understanding mental health & wellbeing in young children in the early years. You will explore the key issues surrounding mental health for young children and how attachment and adverse childhood experiences can impact a child.
The aim of this course is to help you understand mental health in the early years and equip you to be proactive to meet the needs of the children in your setting. We will be sharing interventions, tools and activities that encourage healthy, resilient relationships and support the mental wellbeing of young children. You will discover more about mental health, attachment, emotional regulation and resilience during the early years.
The course has been developed to allow you to work through the online content in your own time and then attend the weekly workshops where you will have the opportunity to participate in activities and discussions to bring the content to life.
