Ever wondered what it's like to run your own business, create your own products, or set up your own practice? Join our Meet the Entrepreneurs event to hear from a panel of professionals as they discuss their experiences. Learn how they got to where they are now, and their top tips for success.

This is your chance to ask any questions and find out more about this career path. Our panellists are:

  • Hazel Showell – Hazel is a graduate in business and psychology, Chartered Fellow of the CIPD with postgraduate qualifications in management learning and systems coaching. An expert in human behaviour at work, she supports major transformation in high profile organisations, specialising in systems leadership, complex relationships and change.

  • Dr Jennie Deyes – Dr Jennifer Dayes is a counselling psychologist and senior lecturer in psychology. Jennie is founder of Legacy and Love Ltd, a company aiming to normalise and validate grief experiences via Continuing Bonds Bereavement Cards; card sets helping bereaved individuals stay connected to their loved ones. 

  • Tracey Williams – Tracey qualified as a therapeutic counsellor in 2022, and set up a small private practice later that year, which she runs part-time alongside her teaching at MMU. Tracey has a particular interest in posttraumatic growth, practitioner wellbeing and the role of the therapeutic relationship in healing. 

  • Elaine Morrow – Elaine is the Director of Birch Therapy Clinic, which provides a range of specialised therapy services online
