How To Set Boundaries With Yourself and Others

31st May 11:00 to 12:00
Using empathy to set realistic and functional boundaries can help you in work and social environments. Come to this session to learn whats right for you.
Effectively YOU: A programme of self study, workshops, and active sessions to support your development. We want you to build your personal confidence and self effectiveness from the inside, outward! So you can share your story with pride, and know your value in the world.

Being Effectively You and creating the life you want for yourself requires you to be intentional about how you spend your time and emotional energy, and you can do that by setting boundaries. Setting boundaries with ourselves, and others, doesn’t always come easy, but it is something you can learn!

In this workshop you’ll learn:

How setting boundaries with others, starts with setting boundaries with yourself

What empathy is (and what it isn’t) and how empathy can help you set effective boundaries

Which next step you can take to create a boundary with yourself, or someone else, from a place of care

This will be an interactive workshop with a mixture of Rachel Walker from the Play Philosophy sharing her experiences and ideas, small group and whole group discussion and time for personal reflection.
