Future Me Week: Applying Psychology to Real-World Challenges
How can we support the wellbeing of jurors?
How can we support pupil and teacher wellbeing in primary schools?
How can we prepare helping professionals for indirect exposure to trauma?
How can we reduce bias against sexual assault victims in court?
How can we reduce misinformation on social media?
How can we offer a personalised care and support plan to people living with cancer?
These are just some of the exciting challenges that you will have the opportunity to work on during the Psychology Future Me event.
You will start the day by attending the Psychology Future Me welcome event where you will be presented with a range of real-world challenges by staff members leading in these areas.
Then, guided by one of the psychology staff team, you will work in small groups on one of the specified challenges. This will involve working together to explore the challenge, generating solutions and action plans. Throughout the day your group will collaborate and produce an output to be shared at the end of the day.
All the groups will come back together at the end of the day to share their work, developing a shared vision of a future with psychology.
