Forensic Futures: Talk by Jo Bailey

Unique opportunity to hear from Jo Bailey OBE, Head of Psychology His Majesty's Prison and Probation Services. Jo will talk about prison culture, wellbeing of staff and residents, and tips for being successful as a Trainee Forensic Psychologist.

Jo Bailey OBE is the Chief Psychologist and Deputy Director for Psychology in His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service. She graduated from our university with a degree in psychology in 1989.

 

Jo has worked within HMPPS for over 30 years and is the head of profession for psychologists working within HMPPS, which is the biggest single employer of psychologists in the UK.

 

Jo was awarded the OBE in the 2020 Queen’s New Year’s Honours List for her services to Forensic Psychology, Offender Rehabilitation and Public Safety.
