Fantastic Sustainable Plastics Materials Roadshow
This pop-up event features a range of activities that give you a chance to have a go with with technologies and techniques that explore the use of repurposed plastics including 3D printing and fashion design.
You can also help create a garment from plastic to raise explore the impacts of fast fashion with Queen Bayard, who is an eco-conscious drag queen, onsite to show off the creation.
Tackling plastic waste is a real challenge and requires input from all backgrounds to create and implement technological and societal changes. From exploring new materials and manufacturing techniques to design and social awareness. You can discuss these themes and ideas at this pop-up with some practitioners working in sustainable design and engineering to find sustainable solutions.
The brand-new Manchester Met Sustainability Society will also be in attendance to help you get involved in future Sustainability efforts!
