Engineering Workshop Training - Using High speed cameras

1st November 14:00 to 17:00
Engineering training workshops are your chance to come along and get training and experience on a variety of machines and devices. These workshops are open to students from any subject or level and are a great way to find out how the engineering workshop facilities may be able to help you with your own studies or activities.

You will be taught to use the high speed cameras in the engineering workshops – which can be used to film high speed tests, and synchronised to work with the drop rig. This activity is a pre-requisite to the digital image correlation workshop later in the year, and will be useful for anyone interested in dynamics.

Details will be share on the DoE Moodle Page – Course: Department Of Engineering Students (, for you to refer back to after the workshop – or shared via onedrive after the workshop, for those without access to moodle to download and store.
