Creative Mavericks! Different pathways to make a living as a creative

24th January 13:00 to 14:30
Professionals from a range of creative industries will talk about the non-traditional routes their careers have taken after graduation. They were once where you were and are now getting paid for their creativity. Each will talk about their journey after graduation then will answer your questions in a Q&A panel.
This activity is offered as part of Future Me Week - five days of exciting opportunities to develop your skills, deepen understanding, gain experience and take steps towards an exciting Future You.

Breaking into the Creative Industries is hard but there are many different ways to pursue your creative career. Come along to this session to hear from professionals who are making a living as a professional creative following non-traditional career paths.

Students from across the university who are interested in the creative industries are more than welcome to come along and hear from creative professionals about some of the many different ways to survive and thrive as a practitioner after graduation.

Graduates working in a range of industries will talk about their careers, then come together as a panel to answer your questions.

Panel members include:

  • Keith Myes (Director AV Immerse and Man Met alumni)
  • Ben Young (Director of Altogether Otherwise. Alumni of Man Met)
