Carbon Literacy Workshop
Climate change is widely recognised as one of the greatest, and most urgent, challenges facing humankind. This challenge has been recognised internationally, within the UK, as well as on a local level. Carbon Literacy learning offers the chance to develop your understanding, with the knowledge to cut your carbon footprint and the confidence to talk to others about the vital issues.
This highly interactive workshop will give you an overview of the basic science of climate change as well as an understanding of the actions required by government, universities and other organisations, and individuals in order to avoid the worst impacts of climate change and set us on a path towards a more sustainable future.
Participants are required to watch a 60 min documentary “Climate Change, The Facts” before attending the workshop. Access to the documentary is via BBC iPlayer or Box of Broadcasts.
