Carbon Literacy Workshop: People and Performance
Climate change is widely recognised as one of the greatest and most urgent challenges facing humankind. This challenge has been recognised internationally, within the UK, and on a local level. Carbon Literacy learning offers the chance to develop your understanding of climate change, gain knowledge to cut your carbon footprint, and gain confidence to talk to others about the impact of carbon emissions on the planet’s climate.
This highly interactive workshop will give you an overview of the basic science of climate change as well as an understanding of the actions required by government, universities and other organisations, and individuals in order to set us on a path to a more sustainable future.
Participants are required to watch a 60 min documentary “Climate Change, The Facts” before attending the workshop. Access to the documentary is via BBC iPlayer or Box of Broadcasts.
