Callout: Lived Experiences of Students who Identify as ‘Neurodiverse’
Rise are developing a new suite of resources on the experiences of people who identify as neurodiverse. People engaging with these resources will develop a greater awareness of neurodiversity on campus and how every neurodiverse experience is unique and isn’t homogenous. They will also be able to consider how neurodiverse students may approach university different to their own experiences.
As part of this work we’re recruiting students to contribute their ideas and experiences to a working group which will author self-study resources. Led by a postgrad mentor working in this area, students will work together to gather data on neurodiverse lived experience.
They can do this by many means: interviewing each other, writing up their own experiences. The point being is that working as a team they must communicate experience in a way that can be presented on the resource. Students will receive guidance on any possible means they may want to use to communicate their experiences.
Please submit an expression of interest if you’re interested in getting involved!
