The theme of this years Black History Month is 'Celebrating our sisters', so in honor of this theme LSBU are hosting Pauline Campbell for their first event of the month.
The theme of this years Black History Month is ‘Celebrating our sisters’, so in honor of this theme LSBU are hosting Pauline Campbell for their first event of the month.
Pauline Campbell is a British writer and senior lawyer raised in London after her parents crossed thousands of miles to live in Britain, leaving the warm shores of the Caribbean behind. In 2021, Pauline Campbell published her first non-fiction book, Rice & Peas and Fish & Chips. “One woman’s story of overcoming racism.”
Pauline is a Waltham Forest Council lawyer fighting for Windrush families invited to the UK from the West Indies after World War Two, in 1948. Campbell is currently the legal adviser to the Windrush Reach Project.
