'Be Your Own Boss' in Science and Engineering with Innospace

Why be Enterprising? Being Enterprising is not only about being an Entrepreneur. In this bespoke workshop for Science and Engineering students, Innospace (our MMU business start-up space) will outline the key traits to develop to become an Enterprising individual, whether you start your own business or work for an organisation.
Welcome to Faculty of Science and Engineering Enrichment. Bespoke activities that enrich your student experience, support your career readiness, and make you stand out from the crowd.

Being Enterprising is about being resourceful, showing initiative and actively working towards your goals. It is also about learning from mistakes and viewing failure as an opportunity to learn. Employers hugely value innovation and Enterprising skills in their employees for their ability to solve problems, offer new thinking and perspectives.

There will be a chance for self-reflection and using the Entrepreneurial Facets Model to analyse how Entrepreneurial you are based on your skills and traits.

We will also look at the start-up opportunities available to MMU students and graduates with Innospace.

Alumni businesses based at Innospace will also share their Entrepreneurial journey, speaking about mistakes and lessons learnt along the way.

Networking refreshments will be provided.
