Accomplished Study Programme in Research Excellence: ASPIRE
A programme of exciting, interesting & thought-provoking activities & internships for Level 5 and 6 Asian students within the Faculty of Business and Law.
NB: Applications close on 23rd February at 1200.
The ASPIRE programme for Level 5 and 6 Asian students within the Faculty of Business and Law starts on 27th February 2022 and ends on 5th May 2022. This is a short programme of exciting, interesting & thought-provoking weekly workshops, activities & synchronous and asynchronous classes. These classes cover professional & personal development, employability, research skills (quantitative and qualitative) and academic excellence. Scholars are supported in completing a short (paid) internship/employment/project management experience via RISE during the ASPIRE programme.
This short programme centres you in everything and is designed to help you achieve your academic and professional development goals by being the best version of yourself that you choose to be.
Throughout the short programme you will receive access to health and well being support, group coaching and a mentor. In addition, you will receive access to our tailored academic excellence coaching (ACE) workshops, that will provide targeted support for you just before you enter the assessment period. You can also access support to help you with your internship/placement and graduate job application processes.
All our undergraduate scholars on last year’s ASPIRE (extended version) programme achieved a 2:1 or 1:1 degree award.
At the heart of everything we do on the ASPIRE programme is compassion. All our teaching practices are compassionate and focus on you, as a unique individual, and your unique experiences and needs. Talking about your racialised experiences, is front and centre of conversations within our ASPIRE community, facilitated by our “Talk about race forums.”
If you have any questions about the application process, please speak to Dr Iwi Ugiagbe-Green (I.Ugiagbe-Green@mmu.ac.uk)
