Learn the essentials of 3D design and printing and gain hands-on experience from Jamie-Lee Wainman of Wainman Design!

This exciting six-week course hosted by Jamie-Lee of Wainman Design covers the essentials of 3D design and printing. You will gain hands-on experience working in their design studios in Islington Mill with access to a suite of design and printing tools.

Additionally, sustainability is at the forefront of Wainman Designs’ practice and is a core part of this course. You will discover how 3D printing utilises additive manufacture to create products that consume fewer resources and produce less waste.

 In this course you will learn about and gain experience in:

·      CAD/CAM and Fusion 360 software skills

·      The sustainability of 3D printing and printing with recycled materials

·      Practical 3D Printing Skills

·      Sourcing 3D Printing Files

·      Scanning and Design Software

·      Fusion 360

·      CAD/CAM Design

·      Sustainable 3D printing design

·      3D printing skikls and sourcing existing files

·      Scanning and exploring design software

This course is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in 3D printing whether you are totally new to the technology or already have lots of experience in 3D printing. Working with Wainman Design also gives you an insight into what it looks like to run your own studio and create a brand for yourself and your work!

Jamie-Lee is a creator, facilitator, and educator who aims to make learning experiences more inclusive for different minds, using playful and creative thinking as a vehicle. Jamie utilises their neurodiversity to create new and innovative ways of learning about different topics, ourselves, and the people around us. They have a studio at Islington Mill where they develop their practice and host workshops.
