How to be... A Data Scientist

23rd January to 27th January
Join the digital world by gaining coding and data analysis skills with Python. Regardless of your course and faculty, acquire a new ability and learn about the applications of this vast discipline.
This activity is offered as part of Future Me Week - five days of exciting opportunities to develop your skills, deepen understanding, gain experience and take steps towards an exciting Future You.

You can take part in this course online by tuning into the broadcasts and using the resources we have provided for you here: Rise at Manchester Met (mmu.ac.uk).

However, if you would prefer to join us on campus, we will also be working through each day from 5.30-6.30pm in the computer lab BS 2.08!

This course provides a gentle introduction to data analysis and coding by showing you how to use Python, providing fun teaching approaches to motivate and support learning from any field of study within the university. You’ll explore the versatility of coding and the many ways in which it can be used to analyse data. In a society where digital connectivity is ever-growing in importance, build your confidence, knowledge and research skills in this area!
