Orchard and Woodland workshop with Hulme Community Garden Centre
Join us for this workshop to help take care take of our lovely woodland space and community orchard.
Led by our local partner Hulme Community Garden Centre, you will be volunteering alongside other students and staff to learn all about woodland maintenance.
In this session, we’ll be focussing on maintaining the pathways which will involve laying new woodchip and log edging to the paths, tree identification, developing species lists and hedge pruning. This will be a physical activity, involving shovels, spades and wheelbarrows!
The workshop will take place in all weather conditions. Please make sure you wear weather appropriate clothing, including suitable footwear (not open footwear allowed).
Meet our student sustainability ambassadors by the entrance to the Brooks building by 1.30pm.
