Develop your case teaching and writing skills

3rd March 11:00 to 13:00
Case studies bring real-life experiences into the classroom and confront us with our own biases and the consequences of our decisions.
This activity is offered as part of Go Global - an exciting set of activities, allowing students to engage in an international experience. Are you having problems signing up to this event? Email GGW6@mmu.ac.uk and we will try to fix the issue for you.

Prof Albert Wöcke is a dynamic, renowned case teacher and heads up the Case Hub at the Gordon Institute of Business Science of the University of Pretoria. He teaches HR Strategy and International Business and studied Political Science and Industrial Relations.

Our workshop offers practical strategies and hands-on techniques to enhance your case teaching and writing. The case writing aspect of the workshop will be conducted by Prof Caren Scheepers from the same institution. She has published more than 50 case studies through Ivey Publishing in Canada, Emerald Emerging Markets Cases, Harvard Business School Press and North American Case Research Centre (NACRA). Her passion for case study writing will help you build confidence in creating highly effective teaching cases. She offers a structured process of case writing and will be available on Friday, 6 March, for an afternoon session as a follow-up to discuss your ideas and to share more of her “tricks of the trade”.
