Becoming A Successful Lawyer – Experiences from Manchester Law School and HKU SPACE Alumni

With distinguished Manchester Met and Hong Kong University SPACE alumni from across the globe, learn how they have become successful legal professionals and listen to their guidance as to what you should do as a law student and in the future to achieve career success. Take the opportunity to ask them questions and hear about their experiences.

The alumni panel will include:

Charlotte Kong, Barrister-At-Law, Chambers of Cheng Huan QC SC (Hong Kong)

Marcin Durlak, Managing Partner, IMD Corporate (Manchester)

Mehar Ameer, Global Legal Counsel, AIR (Dubai)

The session is an opportunity for students in Manchester Law School in particular, but also students across the University, to hear about how some of our distinguished alumni have become successful in the law. They will talk about what they did at university to maximise their career prospects and the pathways they followed that led them to their current positions. They will also give guidance as to what firms and chambers are looking for in prospective employees and tenants and what you might do at university and after to increase the possibility of your success. You will have an opportunity to ask your own questions and engage in discussion.
