Expert Speaker: The Impact, Opportunities and Risks of AI for Society, Law and Business

There has been an exponential growth in the development and use of AI across the globe. This expert talk will examine how AI has become all-present and will assess both the benefits and challenges for us all, but particularly for those in law and business. It will also attempt to uncover ways to properly regulate its use.

Dr Maria Aretoulaki is the lead for Conversational AI and Generative AI Design at Globallogic/Hitachi and has over 35 years of experience working in artificial intelligence and machine learning. She actively works on AI policy and has worked with the US Congress on the impact of AI. Her academic and industrial work has aimed at bridging AI engineering and humanities and has involved taking multidisciplinary approaches to designing solutions for AI problems and challenges.
