Placements Abroad: Interested in gaining global work experience?

Find out how you could be gaining global work experience and ‘dip your toes in international waters’ on an approved placement abroad. GoGlobal in your future ambitions.
This activity is offered as part of Go Global - an exciting set of activities, allowing students to engage in an international experience. Are you having problems signing up to this event? Email GGW6@mmu.ac.uk and we will try to fix the issue for you.

Note that this workshop is not relevant for final year students.

Experience of other cultures and global society is a great way to help you develop personally, academically and professionally. Gaining global work experience can be competitive, so get organised and book this workshop now to explore placements abroad. This will include insight from those in the know, your dedicated placements team, as well as strategies to make sure that your application stands out from the crowd.

During the workshop, you will:

  • Learn about a range of international placement options
  • Learn about where to look for opportunities available across the globe
  • Understand international application processes
  • Get guidance on how to apply for placements, including tips on preparing your CV, other application documents, and how to look for hidden placements
