Enterprise Computing Project

12th February to 26th March
Interested in technology? Already studying computing, or wishing to extending your learning to IT? Then join us for this 6-week course into Enterprise Power Systems and IBM i.

What is it all about?

It’s about getting you introduced to the real world of Enterprise Computing through the medium of Automation, Integration and Modernisation. This industry is in need of your energy, enthusiasm and ideas, and it can open doors to large, well established businesses where you can develop your careers. Working with DIRECT access to Powerful, Enterprise IBM Servers and working across Wide Area Networks, you will gain experience of Enterprise Operating systems like IBM i, World Class databases like DB2, modern tools like IIoT, SQL and other tools that will be of immense value to you in your careers going forward.

Who is the course for?

Well, you DON’T HAVE TO BE A PROGRAMMER! With these tools, programmers can incorporate their own code whilst non-programmers will touch very little code. There is always another way, and the tools provide just that. It works for technical students wanting to improve their capabilities, crossover students wanting to cover a little more IT to augment their primary studies, and students that just feel the need to understand the modern enterprise world of IT.

What’s the course?

A guided course structure of lessons, starting with the basics and progressing to the more advanced topics. The course is packed with resources, including code examples, configuration files, documentation, and clear instructions to guide you through the learning process. You will also engage with our vibrant community through discussions, contributions, and feedback. You will be supported throughout the course and will be rewarded in the end with Certification provided by the UK IBMi User Group – i-UG.
