World Museum (10:15am – 11:45am)
Our first visit will be to the World Museum, where we will explore the World Cultures gallery. This gallery houses a remarkable collection of around 40,000 objects, with origins dating back to the 19th century and reflecting Liverpool’s historic role as a major port of the British Empire. The displays provide a strong starting point for exploring key themes including race, religion, marriage, pregnancy, and age, offering opportunities for discussion and reflection on global diversity and cultural history.
Walk Through Liverpool City Centre (11:45am – 1:00pm)
After the museum, we will enjoy a guided walk through some of Liverpool’s most famous areas on our way towards the docks. This will include passing iconic locations such as the Cavern Club and other landmarks, giving us the chance to experience the city’s vibrant character (weather dependent).
Lunch / Free Time (1:15pm – 2:30pm)
There will be free time for lunch in Liverpool city centre. With a wide variety of cafés, restaurants, and bars to choose from, this is an opportunity to relax, enjoy a meal, and explore the city at your own pace.
Walker Art Gallery (2:30pm – 3:40pm)
In the afternoon, we will visit the Walker Art Gallery, home to one of the most impressive art collections in the country. Updated exhibition guides will be available in November, ensuring our visit focuses on the most relevant and thought‑provoking displays at the time.
Train: Liverpool Lime Street → Manchester Piccadilly (4:00pm – 5:04pm)
The group will return to Liverpool Lime Street Station for the 4:00pm train back to Manchester Piccadilly, arriving at 5:04pm.
