Exploring Digital Creativity
This creative digital activity introduces participants to the essential skills and tools used to bring ideas to life, beginning with the fundamentals of digital communication. Through a focused taught session, you’ll explore rapid sketching, expressive visual storytelling, and professional rendering techniques that communicate form, function, and user experience. The session highlights how traditional sketching methods integrate seamlessly with digital sketching tools to create clear, compelling design narratives.
Building on these foundations, the workshop will lead you through key functions of the Adobe Creative Suite, demonstrating how applications such as Photoshop and Fresco support concept development, layout creation, branding, and presentation refinement. Practical tips, workflow shortcuts, and hands-on exercises will help you transform early concepts into polished, visually coherent assets that elevate your design communication.
The activity also introduces the expanding role of AI tools in modern design practice, showing how they can accelerate ideation, enhance creative exploration, and support rapid visualisation. From generating mood boards and producing quick concept variations to refining imagery and exploring alternative styles, you’ll see how AI-driven tools can complement your creative process and expand what’s possible within your workflow.
