//REWORK THIS
Jewellery and Silversmithing Taster Session
Come to the Hot Metal Workshop in the school of art to explore a range of metalwork techniques in this hands on workshop. Participants will be taught a range of beginner techniques that they will then use to make a piece of work designed by them. The workshop will be very free and open ended, to allow creativity and expression to flourish. If you have ever been interested in metalwork or think it could be useful for your practice, then this is the perfect opportunity to try it out. No experience is necessary, the session will be designed for complete beginners.
At the start of the workshop there will be a health and safety induction. If you miss this, you will not be allowed access to the rest of the session.
By the end of the workshop participants will have learnt a range of skills and made a small object in metal that they can be proud of.
This session is not an induction, so students wanting to return to use the workshop beyond the session will need to speak with the technician to arrange health and safety inductions. The workshops are for use by art/creative students only so please bear that in mind.
