CAVE Animation Jam

19th January to 23rd January
CAVE Animation Jam is a creative event where you can make short animations, live action & VFX or motion graphics films, with other skilled students like yourself! We encourage students to participate if they're on an animation, VFX, games or filmmaking course. Other relevant experience will be considered as well. Let the storytelling begin!
This activity is offered as part of Future Me Week - five days of exciting opportunities to develop your skills, deepen understanding, gain experience and take steps towards an exciting Future You.

CAVE Animation Jam is in its 5th year running! The event usually runs during Future Me week and is now also a RISE event! This means you can earn additional credit points for your efforts, not only fame and glory!

The jam entails four days for creating a short animated, VFX or motion graphics film with students from animation, VFX and games courses at Manchester Metropolitan University. This year we have also invited Salford University students to join us! It will be intense, so only join if you’re up for the challenge!

There will be a workshop to inspire and guide students at the beginning of the week. During the week, there will be morning dailies and support from our organisers and student volunteers. You can look forward to creating an original film, screening it in front of an audience, an industry workshop and a keynote, prizes for the best work and one lunch on us!
