From corporate storytelling to crisis communication: The role of good PR in business

4th November 14:00 to 16:00
Whatever your career plans, corporate reputation is arguably the most valuable commodity in business.

How is reputation protected and enhanced?

Emma Young, Ned Ellison and Asmar Gondal are three senior PR professionals at the top of their game, with a wealth of experience advising clients and organisations through high-pressure, high profile situations.

This interactive session will explore the evolution of newsrooms, how a communications team delivers for a business and how effective stories are told to the media. You will be taken through PR case studies, both good and bad, of some of today’s most iconic brands and learn about what to do when crisis hits.

This session is aimed at those wanting to pursue a career in PR and communications as well as helping those planning for a career in business.

Emma, Ned and Asmar are committee members of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR)’s Corporate and Financial Group (CFG). As part of its 50-for-50 initiative to celebrate 50 years of the committee, the group is offering 50 free CIPR memberships to students.
