Join the Sustainability Hub with The Plastic Shed

29th October to 28th January
Reshape our relationship with plastics in this fantastic community of artist, designers, and plastic engineers investigating how we can use and re-use plastics sustainably. Get skills in 3D-printing, design, and working with novel materials

This community is a platform for students from universities across Greater Manchester to connect, share ideas, learn new skills, and ask questions about repurposing plastic waste. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with experienced recycled plastic artists and designers. Whether you’re passionate about sustainability, art, or innovation, this is the space for you!

This activity is made up of a series of workshops, visits, and a collaborative online space that will develop your skills in 3D printing, design, and innovative ways to use recycled plastic materials.

This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in working with novel materials and exciting new technologies. You will also gain insights into creating your own products, designs, creative brands or starting your own studio or social enterprise.

This project is lead by Jamie-Lee and Caitlin of the Plastic Shed. You can find out more about the Plastic Shed here and the Sustainability Hub Project here

To apply complete an expression of interest and tell us one thing that excites you about working on the future of recycled plastics.
