Discover Manchester - Peer Guided City Tour
On this accessible walking tour, starting from The Union, your Peer Guides will show you some of the most useful and exciting spots to help you settle in to the city. Discover food shops, including local and international stores, and café’s where you can study or catch up with friends. We will also point out some of the more famous Manchester landmarks, including the Central Library and the Chinatown Arch.
Whether this is your first time living alone or you just need some advice, your Peer Guides will be on hand to share practical tips and answer any questions you might have. Topics will also include navigating the post office, public transport, and signing up to a doctor.
Who are Peer Guides?
Experienced students are employed by Manchester Met to provide Peer Support. Our ‘Peer Guides’ can help you with any questions you might have regarding academic and wellbeing support. Even if you just want a chat to another student – take a look at our webpage to get started.
Register on the Vygo app with your student details to get matched with an experienced Peer Guide, and directly message them today.
After the city tour, ending at The Union, your student union reps are offering an additional opportunity for a short tour of the new bar and café, main hall (events and concerts), student voice and opportunity office (course reps and sports/societies), your union officers and advice centre, as well as the living room and study areas.
