Insight weeks and internships with National Grid and Generating Genius

15th August 00:00 to 12:00
The National Grid and Generating Genius Paid Summer Internships and Insight Weeks Programme is open for applications.

What is the programme?

This programme is suitable for students interested in one or all of the following areas: Engineering, Finance, Data, Technology, Procurement. Both the internships and insight weeks take place with National Grid.

Generating Genius is a UK-registered STEM talent development charity, and we are working alongside National Grid to provide students from low income households with internships and insight weeks. We also provide a couple of other activities designed (1 to 1 and small group) to help you with your next steps of a graduate job or 12 month placement.

In particular, our upcoming ‘Get Hired’ Mock Interview Day at National Grid in Warwick will give you the chance to practice and hone your interview and job assessment skills, and receive immediate and personalised feedback from National Grid staff. This opportunity is invaluable practice for you to improve your assessment and interview skills, with advice from those that have been through the process at National Grid, and help you stand out from the crowd when applying for jobs. This area of job applications can often be daunting, but with the practice and feedback you’ll get at this event, you’ll give yourself a real edge.

Travel and food expenses are covered for in-person events including Get Hired, and joining the programme is completely free!

We recommend if you are serious about being successful in your career and eligible (see eligibility below) that you apply.

Please note this is a social mobility programme for students from low income households in England.
