Student Futures Academy: Future Leader Semester 1
This guided pathway is a means for you to build the skills to become a leader and discover how you can transform and influence future development.
To complete this pathway we want you to develop skills in this following areas:
- Essential Skills
- Sustainable Development
- Strategic Thinking Skills
- Project Management Skills
To complete the pathway you need to gain at least 50 Rise points in the relevant areas and then complete a final project.

To complete these pathways we suggest the following activities
Essential Skills:
Get Certified as a Microsoft Office Specialist : A fully-funded opportunity (worth up to £450) to gain external certification from Microsoft
Sustainable Development Skills
Introducing the 17 SDGs: 10 hour self-study introducing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
Woodland Workshop: Join a session n to help maintain and enhance this natural space on campus. Led by our local partner Hulme Community Garden Centre, you will be volunteering alongside other students and staff to learn all about woodland maintenance and wildlife.
