Project Chakra: Do you want to be social entrepreneur?

4th June 10:00 to 16:00
Take part in this award winning workshop. Do you want to make a positive impact? How have others done this before you around the world? Use simulation role-play and gamification to enhance your entrepreneurial skills, solve real world problems, understand social entrepreneurship and meet the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals.

Project Chakra are returning to Man Met with their incredible immersive workshop.

This session is based on a social enterprise in India who are positively disrupting waste management and women’s empowerment. You will learn not just about others but about yourself.

What do you do when faced with compromising on women’s income in the short term to scale the organisation for long term development? How will you deal with conflict and competition from the incumbents in this sector? What does it take to systematically solve this problem? These are the kind of questions that will be explored in these workshops. How do we explore diverse perspectives to these questions and how we might start to work towards answering them?

This award winning series covers three components:

  • First, you will play the role of one of several stakeholders in a complex system:

Put yourself into the shoes of others to build an understanding of their needs and concerns, through which you will understand the drivers of the current urban waste management problem.

  • Second, solve the problem:

Take the role of a social entrepreneur, and build a sustainable business model to address the problem you have just experienced.

  • Third, we invite you to help us drive innovation:

The urban waste management problem is vast and the solution needs to scale while keeping women’s empowerment the core focus.
