Orchard workshop (25th June) with Hulme Community Garden Centre
Join us for the autumn orchard workshop to help take care take of our lovely fruit trees.
Led by our local partner Hulme Community Garden Centre, you will be volunteering alongside other students and staff to learn all about fruit tree care and maintenance.
In this session, we’ll be focussing on summer pruning of the fruit trees including plum and cherry, fruit thinning, weeding and undertaking health-checks of all the orchard trees.
The workshop will take place in all weather conditions. Please make sure you wear weather appropriate clothing, including suitable footwear (not open footwear allowed).
Meet our student sustainability ambassadors by the entrance to the Brooks building by 1.30pm. Please arrive on time. You may be refused participation if you miss the introductions to the workshop.
