We’re the Academic Representation Team at The Union. You’ll find us on the first floor in the Opportunities Office, Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Our job is to recruit, train, and support all the amazing course reps who work hard to make a real difference to their courses. Every year we’re blown away by how passionate and dedicated they are. It’s so inspiring to see the positive changes they make!

Hi everyone! Thank you so much and congratulations for becoming a course rep. We are so excited to have you as part of our community of volunteers here at The Union. Becoming a course rep is an amazing opportunity where you will develop great personal skills to add to your CV whilst also building confidence and creating positive changes for your course.

In this training session we will go over everything we do in our in-person sessions, so if you have already done that there is no need to complete this session too! We will have more opportunities to develop skills throughout the year. In this session, we will go over all the things you need to know to be a successful course rep from skills you’ll develop to the responsibilities you will hold.

As course reps you have access to all our freebies! We have a range of resources that we give to reps to both help them in their roles and help reps promote themselves in the roles.
