Meet the Educational professions panel

13th March 12:00 to 13:00
Do you want to work in education? If so, then come and meet professionals in this field, who can give you the ins and outs while you explore your options.

As part of the ‘Your Career Starts Here – Health and Education Fair’, we are inviting you to meet industry professionals who are working in education in their careers.

Open to anyone in the health and education faculty, you will hear from a variety of professionals who can give you the good and the bad about their work. It is proven that hearing from people in industry can be hugely impactful. It has made students more excited and more determined about their potential careers. It has also put some off certain jobs!

If you are someone still exploring your options then this could be perfect for you, because the less you know the more there is to learn

Meet the panel:

Thomas Duerden – A former teacher who supports people into teaching through ‘Get Into Teaching’

Liz O’Shaughnessy and Kayleigh Davies – they work for New Bridge Academy Trust, who specialise in supporting children with special education needs

Meliza Sestito – A School Outreach Officer for The University of Law’s Widening Participation Team

Stephanie Ranson – A National Reading Manager who manages a team that works with offenders from ages 14+

Reverand Terry Hart – An experienced, multidisciplinary educational practitioner who focuses on supporting those in deprivation and SEN children

Chloe Alice-Hirst – BA Education graduate and Religious Studies Teacher / Pupil Progress Lead
