Keynote talk: Learn how to build a one billion US dollar unicorn business.

3rd March 11:30 to 13:00
Join us to hear from Manchester Met sport alumnus Steve Hewitt, as he talks about how he built fitness community and apparel brand Gymshark to become a unicorn business (valued over one billion US dollars).
This activity is offered as part of Go Global - an exciting set of activities, allowing students to engage in an international experience. Are you having problems signing up to this event? Email GGW6@mmu.ac.uk and we will try to fix the issue for you.

Steve Hewitt is the Founder at We are Whanau (helps scale SMEs with international aspirations) and Non-Executive Chair at Passenger (an outdoor clothing company). Prior to this, Steve spent over eight years at Gymshark, the fitness community and apparel brand that sells to over 100 countries via its 14 e-commerce stores. During his time at Gymshark, he was part of the senior leadership team that was responsible for the exponential growth of the brand on a global scale. As CEO, Steve grew the customer base from 40K to 4M active customers and grew the sales number from £4M to £400M.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to hear about Steve’s journey working for international brands like Reebok along the way and the tips and advice he would give his student self.
