Are you passionate about creativity, strategy, and connecting with audiences? Join us for our "Considering a Career in... Marketing," event where we will explore the exciting opportunities available in the marketing industry and how you can turn your ideas into a successful career.

This session is designed to give you an insider’s perspective on the world of marketing. Whether you’re interested in digital marketing, brand management, social media, or advertising, this event will provide you with valuable insights into the skills, experiences needed to thrive in this fast-paced and ever-evolving field.

Come along to hear from recent alumni who have successfully launched their careers in marketing, as well as industry experts currently working in the field. They will share their professional experiences and practical tips for breaking into the industry, from building your personal brand to securing your first role.

Our panel this week is:

Sophie Mackintosh – Social media and graphic design assistant

Sophie graduated last year in Film and Media Studies and now works at Thebestofnorthwest based in Bolton, working on increasing businesses visability through website promotion bespoke content creation, web design, networking events, annual awards, our annual business fair and more. 

Nica Reyes – Marketing Administrator for Railway Benefit Fund

Nica graduated in 2022 and now works ar the Railway Benefit Fund. RBF dedicates its work exclusively to supporting current, former, and retired railway workers and their families across the UK. As a marketing administrator, she supports multi-channel campaigns to promote the charity’s brand and increase engagement through designing marketing collateral such as fundraising packs, newsletters and impact reports andliaising with external providers and partners. My role also allows me to travel across the country to support the fundraising team with different events, such as annual charity dinners, golf days and conferences.

Jasmin Wilcox – Project Marketing executive at Super Reel Travel

Jasmin is currently working with some of our third year students creating content for a new travel booking app. Before this, she worked in marketing at the Luxury Home Show.

This is also a fantastic opportunity to network with like-minded peers and professionals, ask your burning questions during an engaging Q&A session, and gain inspiration to kickstart your own marketing career.
