Art and Design Futures: Connecting with Practitioners and Professionals
This is the first of 2 creative networking events in Future Me week.
It is open to all Art and Design students and provides an opportunity to meet professionals from the creative industries in an informal setting, to ask questions and get careers advice, with an emphasis on becoming self-employed, freelance, or setting up your own creative practice.
The session will start with short presentations from our industry professionals to introduce themselves. This will be followed by speed-networking, where students will move from table to table to talk to the different practices for 10 minutes at a time.
It should be fun and chaotic and informative! The only preparation you need to do is think about what you might want to ask the design professionals!
If you are (also or more) interested in creative employment, then check out our sister event during Future Me Week: Art and Design Futures: Connecting with Employers… feel free to come to one of these events or both!
