How to Get a Building Named After You

22nd January 14:00 to 15:00
Have you ever considered how you might shape the future? This interactive discussion workshop will take you through the next 200 years of Manchester, as imagined by you with the help of creative science fiction writers and experts.
This activity is offered as part of Future Me Week - five days of exciting opportunities to develop your skills, deepen understanding, gain experience and take steps towards an exciting Future You.

Recently the university celebrated it’s 200th anniversary. Having reflected on the past, we now want you to think about your role in Manchester’s future. What impact and change will you create? How might you be remembered in 2224?

Imagine it’s been another 200 years. What will the world be like in 2224? What will Manchester be like? And how will Manchester Met and our students change to reflect this? Through a series of playful, imaginative conversations, we’ll give you some tools to think hopefully about the future, and to think about the impact that you’ll have.

You’ll also get the chance to connect this to your own legacy and think about what you’re going to do with the next two-hundred years!

This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to connect to the university and others, and will give you the chance to take a moment to reflect on your own journey at Manchester Met and think about your future goals.
