How to cope with negative thoughts & feelings of overwhelm 2

26th February 12:30 to 13:45
Everyday ways to manage stress & boost your energy

This session will look at yoga and mindfulness tools that help you to thrive during stressful experiences. We will explore the 4 different stress responses and practice yoga that help you to navigate and support feelings of overwhelm as well as negative thoughts.

Stress is inevitable but how we relate to it is a choice. The key to being effectively you is understanding how we can change our relationship to stress so that we can achieve our goals and ambitions. Yoga and mindfulness have focused on this challenge for centuries and in this 2-part series we are going to explore practical tools for everyday ways to manage stress and boost your energy. This is an accessible practice; you can practice on a mat or from a chair and need not have any previous experience of yoga or mindfulness.

This course is for you if you have experienced one or more of the below situations:

  • Feeling overwhelmed before a stressful situation such as an exam, job interview, conflict with your friends or family
  • Find it hard to rest, relax, concentrate or your mind races
  • Find that you get headaches, tightness in the body, problems sleeping before or after stressful situations
  • Feel low in energy and either find it hard to rest or never feel properly recharged

*please note this practice is not suitable if you are under 16 weeks pregnant.
